Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Tunnel previously known as Chenani-Nashri Tunnel is the longest road tunnel of India.The length of india longest road tunnel is 9.3 Km and it reduces the distance between Jammu and Kashmir by 31 Km.This Tunnel was renamed after the abrogation of the provisions of Article 370 in oct 2019. Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was the founder of Bhartiya Jansangh and his battle for Kashmir, One Nation One Flag has immensely contributed in national integration.
